Rising cases of Covid-19: UAE puts India on Travel ban, Oman announces travel ban on India, Bangladesh & Pakistan.
India is reporting record number of coronavirus cases – and deaths – amid an alarming shortage of medical oxygen and beds in its hospitals as a brutal second wave of the virus beats its under-funded, breakable healthcare system.
On Friday, India reported a single-day high of nearly 332,730 new cases and record 2,263 deaths.
On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates on Thursday has announced that they’re putting India on their travel ban list as the country faces a record number of coronavirus cases.
Oman has announced it will suspend travel from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, where cases of the coronavirus continue to surge over the past couple of weeks.
The decision was taken by Oman’s supreme committee for coronavirus on Wednesday. As per the committee, the ban will come into effect from April 24.
