Takbir al-Tashreeq

(Arabic: تكبير التشريق) is a prayer recited by pilgrims after every Fardh Salah during Hajj.

Takbeer e Tashreeq Start from Fajr Prayer on the 9th Dhul Hijjah till the Asar Prayer of 13th Dhul Hijjah. It has to be recited once after every Fardh Prayer by every men and women. It is wajib for every adult men and women with the difference that women will recite it in slow voice, while men will recite it in a bit louder voice.

Takbir al-Tashreeq is the recitation of the following:

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْد

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La Ilaha Ilallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa Lillahil Hamd.

Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest and all praises are for Allah only.

Notes:

  • Takbir al-Tashreeq is Wajib for both men and women after every Fardh Prayer (9th – 13th Dhul Hijjah).
  • Men will recite it audibly whilst women will recite it softly.
  • Women can pin it on the Prayer mat or nearby for easy remembering.
