The Prophet says Ameen climbing the Minbar

A warning for not reciting Darood

Once the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم came to his Mosque to deliver a sermon. When he put his foot on the first step of the pulpit, he صلى الله عليه و سلم pronounced Ameen He pronounced the words 'Ameen' each time he put his foot on the second and the third steps. When he صلى الله عليه و سلم got down from the pulpit after
having delivered the sermon, the Noble Companions رضي الله عنهم asked him صلى الله عليه و سلم why he pronounced the words 'Ameen' while getting on the pulpit, when he L had recited no Dua. The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم replied: When I was going up the pulpit Hazrat Jibrael عليه السلام came to me and submitted three Dua's (supplications). At the end of each Dua I pronounced the words Ameen. They were in fact not supplications but were curses. just think ! The place of the Dua's was the Prophet's Sacred Mosque; the day was probably Friday, and was the Friday sermon time which is a very auspicious time for the acceptance of Dua's. Then the maker of the Du bs is Jibrael عليه السلام and the person pronouncing 'Ameen' is no less a person than the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم himself. What greater guarantee can bc. given for the grant of a Dua in which so  many favorable factors combine?

The first Dua b by Hazrat Jibrael عليه السلام was: May that person perish who gets his parents in their old age, but fails to get his sins forgiven to win Paradise, by rendering them good service. Sometimes the parents are pleased
with their children only for their trifling services and pray for them and their prayers earn for their children Paradise. Hazrat Jibrael عليه السلام recited this Dua and the Holy prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم supported it with the words 'Ameen.

The second Dua b was: May that person perish who finds the whole month of Ramazan, yet he does not care to
have his sins forgiven during this sacred month. Allah's infinite mercy seeks excuses to forgive sinners and their sins.

The third Dua  was: May that person perish before whom 'my name' is mentioned and he does not recite DAROOD. In view of such a stern warning. a Muslim must take care to recite DAROOD. when the sacred name of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم is mentioned before him.
