Applications for the Hajj can be submitted from March 16 through March 31, 2023, according to Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Applications may be submitted through 14 particular banks around the country, he stated during a news conference when he presented the Hajj Policy 2023.

"Under the regular Hajj plan, persons who have completed Hajj in the last 5 years would not be able to apply," the religious minister continued, noting that the age restriction for performing Hajj has been removed as of this year.

He continued by saying that the Sponsorship Hajj Program received a 50% quota, or 44,802 seats, in both the public and private hajj programmes.

The Minister for Religious Affairs stated that some Hajj costs were reduced by Saudi Arabia at Pakistan's request, and he noted that these costs are lower than those of India, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

The minister commended the administration for handling issues with the Hajj money exchange. Abdul Shakoor asserted regarding the country's inflation that due to tax rises, the price of necessities like food and clothing had also increased in Saudi Arabia.
