Rains during the monsoon cause floods in Karachi.

On Monday, Karachi experienced urban flooding as residents awoke to find their homes flooded in water in various parts of the city.

Rains from the monsoon season continued to cause devastation in the city as water gathered in low-lying areas and on roads and the power supply to some sections was cut off.

For the past eight to ten hours, it has been raining continuously in a few parts of the city. Over 100mm of rain fell in certain spots, including DHA, Kemari, and Clifton, during this time.

In addition to Saddar, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, Liaqatabad, Guru Mandir, Super Highway, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Airport, Malir, Gulshan, and Gulistan-e-Jauhar, rain is still falling in these locations of Karachi.

K-Electric provides warnings during rain about keeping a safe distance from downed wires and cables.

Light to heavy rains flooded the city's low-lying regions, and water pooled on the roads, blocking transportation.

Urban flooding is occurring as a result of inadequate sewage and waste management systems and a lack of preparations.
