The number of people killed in an Israeli army raid in the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. Ana Shawkat Annab, 66, who suffering from tear gas toxicity, died in a hospital, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
According to the government, Israeli soldiers have assassinated 62 Palestinians since the beginning of the year.
Soldiers responded with live rounds against Palestinians protesting the operation, murdering civilians, including a child, in the ancient Old City.
102 Palestinians were affected in the incident, with six receiving serious injuries. In the Nablus invasion, no Israeli forces were killed.
Additionally, following Israel's latest strike, Palestine asked for emergency meetings of the UN Security Council, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday to provide "international protection" to Palestinians.
Riyad al-Maliki, the foreign minister of the Palestinian Authority, urged in a statement that the UN Security Council hold an urgent meeting after Israeli soldiers attacked the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, resulting in 11 Palestinian deaths and more than 100 injuries.
“We demanded that Israel be condemned for the massacres committed against the Palestinians, the latest one in Nablus, and to provide international protection for the Palestinians,” al-Maliki said in the statement.
