The Supreme Court of India ruled on Friday that Nupur Sharma, a suspended BJP leader, was to blame for inciting nationwide unrest and the brutal murder of a Hindu tailor by two men in Udaipur.
Nupur Sharma, who served as a spokesperson for the right-wing government in India until she was fired last month, offended many Muslims when she made disparaging comments about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on television.
the manner in which she sparked feelings across the nation. According to the supreme court, "This lady [Sharma] is entirely responsible for what is taking place in the nation," as reported by NDTV.
Sharma was asked by the court to apologise to India as a whole for harming its national security.
