LONDON – The Pakistan High Commission in London is taking legal action against Sahibzada Jahangir, former Prime Minister Imran Khan's focal presentator for the UK and Europe, after he violently entered the Pakistan High Commission, assaulted diplomatic workers, and insulted them.
The event occurred on May 25, the day of the PTI's "Azadi March," during which the PTI UK staged a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in London, seeking the declaration of general elections.
According to a source at the Pakistan High Commission, stern notice has been issued and legal action will be taken against PTI UK's leader for trespassing and gangsterism.
The diplomatic police were called shortly after the incident, according to the high commission source, and no further action was taken at the time. However, after analysing detailed footage, it was decided that legal action would be taken against Jahangir and Shahid Destagir Khan, a solicitor who also insulted the embassy staff by calling them "USA and UK slaves" for creating the PTI representative wait for about eight minutes.
